We watch your stuff
Reachability testing
Monitoring a page, a script, or an API endpoint, at regular intervals, will increase the confidence you have in your system, because you can detect the exact time when a problem occurs, and quickly take action to fix it.
Servervana offers that piece of mind through a range of monitors that will verify the user journey at every level of the request:
Track timing details for each step of a request, including connection establishment, data waiting, and redirections. This monitor supports GET/POST/PUT/HEAD, and custom payloads.
Provides detailed reporting to help you identify spurious and periodic problems.
Get detailed reporting and insight into the loading behaviour of your pages. This monitor type uses an actual browser to access your page, providing a visual breakdown and a waterfall report for all loaded resources and timing details for each step of a request.
Will record and report on SEO affecting timing details.
With support for A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, and TXT records, you can rest assured that the DNS system behind your services is functioning properly, and your users can reach you.
Performance insights
In addition to making sure a resource is accessible, our monitors will collect timing data, which can reveal trends and patterns generated by otherwise invisible issues. This can help you optimize your server, scripts and database queries, so you can increase reliability and minimize downtime.
Scalable monitoring
Our product is addressed to both small customers with one or two resources that need monitoring, as well as large customers that are monitoring thousands of resources, and have different employees handling different types of issues. Our system is designed to provide live updates on every page that displays monitor information, so every page can be used as a live dashboard if it shows the information you care about.
Advanced alert management
Finally, we provide a simple, but robust alert policy system, which is able to define multiple thresholds for errors (for example for SSL expiry time), and allows you to delegate the issues to different members of your team based on the severity of the problem.
Maintenance windows
Many systems undergo regular maintenance, in the form of backups or regular optimizations which can slow everything down or completely take the system offline. For those cases, you can define recurrent or one-time maintenance windows, so monitoring is paused and doesn't generate unnecessary notifications.
Status pages
If you need to share the status of your services with other people or with your customers, we provide configurable status pages, where you can display the status of selected monitors, based on specific alert policies. You can view our own status page here: status page.
